Champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them – a desire, a dream, a vision.
Games and sports have become an integral element of present day education. They teach them the qualities of discipline, sportsmanship, team spirit and leadership. They also enhance the physical and mental development of children.
PPS celebrated the 6th Annual Sports Day on 9th Dec ’22 amidst a lot of fun and frolic.
The Sports programme began with the release of balloons and white pigeons by Our Chairman and the chief guest Ms. Sandhya Ranganathan. This was followed by the Oath-taking ceremony. Students of Grades V to XI performed mass drill to the tuneful chants of rhythmic beats.
There were some more races for the students of Grades V to XII, displaying their vigour and athletic talents.
The most exciting part of this happening day was the house drill activity. The Inter-House events gave a chance to the Students to display their House-spirits. The results were:
Denmark House – 1st,
Arsenal House – 2nd Chelsea House – 3rd
Barcelona House- 4th.
All in all, it was indeed a thrilling experience for the children and their parents. The winners made the Victory Stand feel proud of being awarded the medals and certificates, and appreciation from the Chief Guest and the directors of Selva Vinayaka Educational Trust.
